The D & F Builders original website was hosted with a service that provides a template-based, do-it-yourself site editing capability. Given the limited nature of this type of site development tool the original site was well designed and implemented to provide the visitor with easy access to the information provided. However, as time went on, the maintenance of the site became more tedious and the desire to provide a more custom and unique experience for the visitor required transitioning to a different platform.

Amherst Partners transferred the site to a 1 and 1 Computing shared hosting environment that will save D & F Builders hundreds of dollars per year in hosting costs. The site was built using the Open Source Joomla 1.5 CMS using the RocketTheme Akiraka template with customization provided by Amherst Partners. This project took approximately 1 week to complete.
